Our partnership with Worldwide Orphans (WWO) is a win-win, however for the hospital we are a double winner, ranking among the best institutions serving children in the country, due in part because of our collaboration with WWO.
Primarily, this program supports good adherence to taking vital medication, however, the children also discover a place to bond with their peers, to cope with the stigma surrounding their illness, and to discover their talents and dreams without being judged. The family weekends are also invaluable, allowing parents to learn more about their children, and to learn how to better support them, providing a rare and welcome respite in lives.
